How to use this tool

How the math works
- Discounted subtotal = subtotal − discount (floored at zero).
- Taxable base = discounted subtotal + delivery fee + service fee. Tax rate varies by ZIP; the default 8% is just a starting point.
- Tip = discounted subtotal × tip%. Tip is calculated on the POST-discount subtotal — tipping on the pre-discount total over-tips relative to the service you received.
- Final total = discounted subtotal + delivery fee + service fee + tax + tip.
- Fees-outweigh-discount warningfires when the discount was non-zero AND fees+tip still exceed the savings. The coupon isn't fake — the stack is just bigger than the savings.
