Pickup vs Delivery Calculator

Updated: PizzaCodeFinder toolRuns in your browser. We don't save your inputs.

Plug the same cart into the pickup and delivery side and the calculator shows estimated totals after fees, tax, tip, and any coupon discount. When the discount isn't enough to overcome the fee + tip stack, you'll see an explicit warning. Brand checkout totals are authoritative; treat these as decision-support estimates.

Estimated totals

Pickup total
$27.00

Subtotal + tax. No delivery fees. No tip assumed.

Delivery total
$31.08

Discounted subtotal + fees + tax + tip. Discount applied: $20.00 after.

Difference (delivery − pickup): +$4.08 (+15.1%)

Cheaper option: Pickup

Discount outweighed by the fees

Even after the discount, delivery costs more than pickup for this cart. The coupon isn't fake — the fee + tip stack just exceeded the savings. Try a pickup-only coupon, a larger order to amortise the fees, or just go pick it up.

Results are estimates. Estimates only. Local rules and per-chain rounding vary — the brand's own checkout is authoritative. Some discounts apply only to one channel. We never claim a code or discount is guaranteed — verify totals at checkout before you order.

How the math works

  • Pickup total= pickup subtotal + (subtotal × tax%). No delivery fee. No tip assumed for pickup — it's optional, often zero, and varies.
  • Discounted delivery subtotal = delivery subtotal − discount (floored at zero).
  • Delivery total = discounted subtotal + delivery fee + service fee + ((discounted subtotal + fees) × tax%) + (discounted subtotal × tip%).
  • Discount-outweighed warningfires when the discount was non-zero AND the delivery total is still higher than pickup. The coupon isn't fake — the fees + tip just exceeded the savings.

Different brands apply tax to slightly different bases and round line items differently. Use the displayed total in your actual cart as the source of truth before paying.

FAQ

Why does the calculator say my discount is outweighed by the fees?
Because the delivery fee + service fee + tip on top of the discounted subtotal can still exceed the pickup total of the same cart. The warning shows when delivery (after the coupon) costs MORE than pickup (no coupon). It does not mean the coupon is fake — it means delivery isn't winning today.
Is this calculator authoritative for billing?
No. It estimates two totals from the numbers you type. Round-off and exact tax-base rules vary by brand and region. Always verify the actual totals in the brand's app or site before you commit.
